Michael Thorson,
aka "Mr. T.") has been the
librarian at Valley View since 1981! He is the tallest teacher
in the school AND the oldest teacher at the school. When T. arrived
at Valley View he had just one teddy bear to put on the shelf.
He’s not sure how many bears there are now – he lost
count after he reached 100. Mr. T. is always saying that he is
the luckiest guy in the school because he gets to work with everybody.
He thinks reading is one of the most important skills you will
ever learn in your life and he will be happy to recommend books
for you any time. People are always asking Mr. T. the title of
his favorite book. He has a hard time answering that question
because he reads hundreds of books every year and so many of them
are great. When it comes right down to it, T. says the five books
in the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander are at the top
of his list.
